Paragliding at Fiji

Vroom! I could hear the boats engines starting as me and my Mum hopped on. My Dad didn't go because he was too scared. We started to get further and further away from land, I started getting really nervous then we got our straps on they held us up in the air.

Finally we were ready to get amazed and scared at the same time. I sat down on the boat then I started to get higher and higher off the water. We started to swing back and forth. Everything looked so small from one hundred or two hundred meters in the air. after a few minutes flying it got really relaxing. Then suddenly I saw something jumping in the water, it was a school of dolphins, a couple minutes after I saw a green sea turtle. then we got pulled in and got back onto the boat. here are some photos.

they're not my feet, there my Mum's.

Disneyland and the San Diego Zoo

Aaahhh! I screeched as I zoomed past the space ship. We were just at the end of one of my favourite rides, Space Mountain in Disneyland. The ride was crazy because it was dark, fast and it had very sharp turns (and I put my hands up at the wrong moment then I almost got chucked out of the ride). My sisters even went on Space Mountain and the youngest is five years old. The roughest ride was the Matterhorn Bobsleds. the was even a yeti not just one but three and they looked so real, it was crazy. I went the Indiana Jones ride but I can't tell you about that because I had my eyes closed the whole way because it was too scary. I did hear some rattlesnake noise some screaming and a guy or ghost saying some thing about a curse or something. I went on heaps of different rides but I have to write about the zoo.

I don't have that much to write about because it was so amazing, there were so many animals and there's always something to look at. The reptiles were really cool, there were lots of snakes and lizards that were endangered. My favourite reptile was the huge Komodo dragon and the giant tortoises. The tortoises's shells looked like a big bolder. The zoo was fantastic I wish I could go there every day.

Yosemite Park

Yesterday was really busy because we explored the natural and rugged Yosemite National Park, in Northern California. There are lots of creatures, trees and big rocks where we're staying. Yesterday it was like entering a whole different world, but the journey was rough because the mountain roads were windy and the roads were busy. The coolest thing on the road was the tunnel, it was like going through a portal but actually we were just under a big mountain made of granite rock. The tunnel was about one mile long.

I step out of the car with excitement brewing in my brain. We stopped right after the tunnel and the view was amazing. I have a picture of it it will be at the end of the story. The second stop off was at a huge waterfall that you could stand under and guess what, I got soaked it was so fun. Then we hopped back in the car and went to another waterfall- this one you actually had to walk to it. The water came from melted snow, the waterfalls were amazing. The cliffs were so big they didn't feel real and there were people climbing them. Tomorrow we are going to Disneyland. You should come to Yosemite one day, it's amazing! The cliffs don't look as big in the pictures but when you see them with your own eye it's spectacular!

The Endeavour

Today me and my family went to the California Science Centre in LA. we saw an Imax movie about volcanos and we there was this big aquarium with sharks and lots of other sea creatures as well. The main and best activities we went and saw was the Endeavour, it's a space shuttle that has actually been to space, not once not twice but twenty five times. The space shuttle was huge and it had big thrusters at the end of the ship. The gas tank was bigger then the shuttle, it was bright orange and if you stood it up it would be probably three stories high, it was massive. That's how big the shuttle and boosters are.
